Latest book to TV adaptation: Daisy Jones and The Six
This previous month of March have been a highly anticipated month for book lovers, as on march 3rd an incredibly loved book by many had been released as a limited series on Amazon Prime Video.
The New York times best selling author, Taylor Jenkins Reid's book Daisy Jones and The Six got made and released as a limited series on Prime Video. The book Daisy Jones had been a huge success among different internet medias.
In the lead roles we have Riley Keough and Sam Claflin. Riley Keough who's playing a 70's rock singer like her co-actors in the series appears to be the late king of rock 'n' roll, Elvis Presley's granddaughter, coincidently or not. Among others who have acted in this series include Suki Waterhouse, Camila Morrone and many more.
The story is of a risen rock band from the 60's/70's and about how they came to be, and eventually their infamous disband.
Keough and Claflin legitimately sang the songs in the album 'Aurora' by the fictional band. From my personal analysis the series was quite similar to the movie from my imagination. Some of the parts of the show that caught my eye were the detailed elements displayed that were representing the respective time period the story was set in. Such things include the costume selection. Riley Keough a.k.a. Daisy Jones donned backless, crocheted and furred clothing. She wears very diverse clothing. While Sam Claflin, synonymously Billy Dunne was dressed in mainly denim on denim. This to me suggests the liberalness and artistic side of the character Daisy Jones projects while contrastingly Billy Dunne remains in denim and/or leather which shows his stability, ambitiousness and maybe stubbornness.
The series has been produced by actress Reese Witherspoon under her production company Hello Sunshine.
